Ferrero is introducing a fresh take on one of its most recognizable products with the upcoming release of Ferrero Rocher Squares. Announced in May 2025 and launching this September, this marks the first time the beloved hazelnut chocolates will be sold in a square shape. The new format will arrive in stand-up sharing bags, featuring flavors including Milk, Dark, White, Caramel Hazelnut, and an assorted mix. Importantly, the original iconic round Ferrero Rocher will remain available alongside this new addition.
This change is part of a larger innovation slate previewed at the Sweets & Snacks Expo earlier this year. At that time, Ferrero North America described the new format as explicitly designed with the North American market in mind. The shift doesn’t replace the traditional golden-wrapped chocolates but adds variety to the catalog with packaging aimed at convenience and sharing. The announcement followed a string of new product news from Ferrero, including Butterfinger Marshmallow, Keebler cookie updates, and even a new Tic Tac flavor inspired by Dr Pepper.
