All Now and Later Flavors, Ranked

Since Now and Later candy was introduced in 1962, nearly two decades before I was born, I’ve been eating this candy for my entire life. In other words, I’ve tried every single flavor that has ever been released, including limited-edition flavors, as well as other brand favorites, such as Now and Later Morphs. I’ve had them all, and I still enjoy them today just as much as I always have. 

However, I don’t get to enjoy them as much as I used to or would like to, but that’s only because my diet doesn’t allow me to anymore; although I still sneak a few in here and there, as for how many, though, I will never tell. I also like all Now and Later flavors, so I won’t be ranking them from best to worst or vice versa. Instead, I’ll be ranking them all based on which ones I like the most, starting with my favorite. 

My goal is to share all flavors with you, and then let you decide which ones are the best. I think it’s safe to say that nobody will have the same list, so my focus is more on discovery than on opinions. That said, let’s now get into all the best flavors currently available today and find your new favorite! At the time of this article, there are nine flavors, and this is how I rank them…

1. Now and Later Tropical Punch

I’m not sure when I first discovered Tropical Punch, but for as long as I can remember, it’s always been my favorite Now and Later flavor. In fact, it is because of this flavor that I no longer buy the variety packs anymore! However, I still enjoy mixing flavors, but I prefer to do so on my own terms, which is something this brand understands. I enjoy them on their own, but mixing them with other flavors takes it to the next level.  

2. Now and Later Blue Raspberry

Next up is Blue Raspberry, it’s easily my second favorite Now and Later flavor! This pick was so easy that I didn’t even have to think about it, although it did get harder for me to choose the further I went down the list. However, like the previous flavor, I can’t recall when this one came out, but I suppose it doesn’t matter now! I enjoy mixing these with Tropical Punch and the next few flavors on my list. You should definitely try my mix! 

3. Now and Later Strawberry 

Securing the #3 spot after a fierce battle with the next flavor, Strawberry proved to be my 3rd favorite Now and Later flavor, which I didn’t even realize before ranking them here today! This is another flavor I like to add to my personal mix, making it a sweet and juicy addition to my previously ranked two flavors, plus a couple more after this one. I can also smash these on a solo mission that I have never once failed to complete! 

4. Now and Later Cherry

Next in line, and falling just short of Strawberry, is easily Cherry, my 4th favorite Now and Later flavor! As mentioned previously, it was a tough call between these two flavors, but I had to make a call. However, once the call was made, I had to make another call because the next flavor is another classic flavor that I like a lot. Regarding my personal mix, we now have the first three flavors, and this one gives us one of the best Now and Later flavor mixes ever! Any challengers? Let me know where Cherry ranks on your list.  

5. Now and Later Watermelon

Rounding out my top five favorite flavors, I give this win to Now and Later Watermelon! I’ve been a fan of this flavor for as long as I can remember, and when it comes to my personal mix, it’s not complete without this one! I enjoy them alone, as I do all flavors; it’s a mood thing, but adding this one into the mix really seals the deal for me. No other flavors are needed. However, it never hurts or disappoints to add more flavors, which is what I’m about to do now!   

6. Now and Later  Pineapple

As promised, I’m adding Pineapple to my personal mix of Now and Later flavors! Actually, I already added it, but it sounded good. The truth is, I like this flavor a lot, I always have, especially on a warm day! However, I wish this one had just a little bit more flavor, as I think it’s a little on the light side as it is today, but change is sometimes good if it’s to make something better. 7. Now and Later Grape

Locking down the #7 spot, I have to tip my hat to Now and Later Grape! As a kid, I think this one would’ve ranked much higher, but as I grew older, I started to like it less and less! Not that it’s bad or anything, but one is usually enough for me; after that, I think they develop a slightly funky taste that makes you say, ‘Okay, enough is enough, see you next Halloween!’ I also don’t think it tastes much like grape, and it’s been that way for a long time.  

8. Now and Later Apple

Like the previous flavor, I’ve always had high expectations for Now and Later Apple; it’s just supposed to be good, no exceptions! Unfortunately, this one doesn’t hit the mark for me; it never has. That said, it’s not bad, not even slightly, but it doesn’t take much like Apple, and after you’ve had one, that’ll be enough until you try them again, and you will. I would’ve ranked it in my top 5 and included it in my personal mix if it were better, but for now, I’m going to pass. 

9. Now and Later Banana

Coming in last place, I’m sorry to say this, but I have to give it up to Now and Later Banana! Like the previous two flavors, it’s okay, not really authentic-tasting, and one is enough to hold me over for a few years. I would’ve loved to give it a better ranking, but honesty wins, and this is where the banana fell and splattered. Like the previous two flavors, I want to like it, trust me, I love banana candy, but this one ain’t it. If you agree or disagree, I’d like to hear about it either way.
