To begin with, only you can determine the best bubble gum brands! The truth is, everyone has their own favorite brands and flavors, so only you can decide which one is the best. As for sales data and other fact-driven statistics, the truth is in the numbers, revealing the best brands and leaving no room for doubt. Our aim is focused on discovery, not opinions based on personal taste tests and reviews. Although we respect everyone’s opinion, it’s just not how we prefer to rank the best brands.
That said, we researched over 10 years of sales data here at Candy Retailer, plus fact-checked it to ensure its accuracy. As of 2025, the global bubble gum market is valued at nearly $1 billion and is projected to grow by over 4% in the next decade, indicating a strong demand for this beloved candy. It’s also worth noting that the US dominates the market with over 50% of the market share, which came as no surprise. Our list below features the best bubble gum brands for blowing bubbles! To discover the best chewing gum brands, please view the attached link.
1. Dubble Bubble Bubble Gum
Introduced in 1928 by the Fleer Chewing Gum Company, Dubble Bubble was the first commercially sold bubble gum in the United States. Created by Walter Diemer, an accountant at Fleer, the original color was pink because it was the only food coloring readily available at the time. For decades, it included a small comic strip, ‘Pud and his Pals.’ The brand is now owned by Tootsie Roll Industries and is the #1 best-selling bubble gum worldwide.

2. Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum
Hubba Bubba is the #2 best-selling bubble gum brand in the United States. Produced by the Wrigley Company, a subsidiary of Mars, this brand was introduced in 1979 and was known for being less sticky compared to other gums, allowing for easier bubble blowing and cleanup. This iconic brand comes in several flavors, but is primarily famous for its cherished Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape, which comes with 6 feet of gum and 6 feet of fun! If you know, you know.

3. Bubblicious Bubble Gum
Bubblicious was introduced in 1977 by the American Chicle Division of Warner-Lambert. Known for its soft texture and intense flavors, this bubble gum brand gained immense popularity in the 1980s, and rightfully so! Bubblicious is now owned by Perfetti Van Melle, which acquired the brand from Mondelēz International in 2023. As most would agree, this is perhaps the juiciest, most addictive bubble gum ever made; one piece is never just enough, it’s that Bubblicious!

4. Bubble Yum Bubble Gum
Bubble Yum was introduced by Life Savers in 1975 and is widely recognized for its soft, chewable texture, a significant innovation at the time that led to global popularity. The Hershey Company acquired Bubble Yum in 1996, and since then, the brand has risen in popularity to become the fourth-best-selling bubble gum in the United States. As for the brand’s punk mascot, Floyd D. Duck, he’s now in his 30s and still encouraging people to ‘blow their bubble!’

5. Bazooka Bubble Gum
Bazooka bubble gum was launched in 1947 by the Topps Company in Brooklyn, New York, following World War II. It is known for its distinctive red, white, and blue packaging, as well as the inclusion of a small “Bazooka Joe” comic strip inside the wrapper. The original flavor is a classic bubble gum taste, and it’s the only flavor available nowadays, although I do remember grape as a kid. You can now find Bazooka bubble gum in several package options here at Candy Retailer, including sugar-free.

6. Big League Chew Bubble Gum
Big League Chew was created by former Portland Mavericks left-handed pitcher Rob Nelson and batboy Jim Bouton in the late 1070s, but was later purchased and introduced by Wrigley in 1980. Almost half a century later, the gum is still shredded and packaged in foil pouches to resemble chewing tobacco, an idea Nelson once had during his time in the bullpen. As of today, nine flavors are available; you can view them all here. View all flavors ranked.

7. Airheads Bubble Gum
Airheads is primarily known for its tangy, taffy-like candy bars, but nowadays, its sugar-free bubble gum is just as popular! Introduced by Perfetti Van Melle in 2017, the gum version maintains the brand’s signature fruity and often sour flavors, such as blue raspberry, raspberry lemonade, and watermelon! You can get it in 14-count packs or 12-pack cases, which is what we offer here at Candy Retailer! I love Airhead bubble gum and rank it as my fourth favorite!

8. Trident Bubblegum
Trident was launched in 1960 and is one of the best-selling chewing gum brands globally, particularly in the United States. Not to mention, it was the first sugar-free gum ever patented. In recent years, the brand has expanded its reach to include sugar-free bubble gum, which Trident claims stimulates saliva flow, helps prevent cavities, and strengthens teeth. Owned by Perfetti Van Melle, it’s another bubble gum brand I enjoy and hope to see more flavor releases!

9. World’s Bubble Gum Cigarettes
Bubble gum cigarettes are nostalgic novelty candies often sold in packs that feature fictional brands, such as Stallion, Lucky Lights, Target, Kings, and Victory. First appearing in the US sometime around the 1930s, they were an instant hit back then and remained popular until the 1990s. Although they’re not available by the pack at every gas station as they once were, you can still buy them by the case here at Candy Retailer!

10. El Bubble Bubble Gum
El Bubble is a novelty candy brand for its bubble gum products, particularly its blue or pink Bubble Gum Cigars, which are often used for birth announcements. Produced by Tootsie Roll Industries under the Dubble Bubble banner, these candy cigars are a long-standing novelty item, packaged in cigar-style packs and 36-count boxes. We carry both announcement colors here at Candy Retailer. Click below to pick up a box today!

11. Albert’s Gumballs
Albert’s 1-Inch Gumballs are famous for their diverse fruit flavors and vibrant colors. Speaking of, no other bubble gum brand produces more flavors and colors than Alberts, making them the leader in the department. Sold here at Candy Retailer in bulk 2lb bags (approx 113 pieces), so they’re perfect for birthday parties, events, and refilling gumball machines! 12. Dippin’ Dots Filled Gumballs
Inspired by Dippin’ Dots ice cream, Dippin’ Dots Filled Gumballs were launched in the early 2000s by Zed Candy, featuring tiny candy beads inside 1-inch gumballs. Bursting with strawberry, blue raspberry, orange, lemon, and lime bubble gum flavors, they’re not as popular as other brands listed above, but over the years, they’ve gained lots of traction! Available in 6-count single packs and 24-count boxes, they’re great for birthday parties or resale.

13. Kidsmania Bubble Gum
Kidsmania is a brand that produces a variety of novelty candy and bubble gum items, often packaged in fun, toy-like dispensers. Their products are geared towards children and include items like “Quick Blast” sour spray with gum and gumball-filled toy trucks. The emphasis is on the playful aspect of the candy.

14. Warheads Bubble Gum
Warheads was introduced in 1985, and is a brand known for its extremely sour candies, but also offers bubble gum products that are just as popular! Carrying the brand’s signature intense sour flavors, this bubble gum is sweet, juicy, and is perfect for blowing large bubbles, if that’s your thing! Made by Impact Confections, I ranked this bubble gum last because it’s not always available, as it’s a limited-edition product that often comes and goes.
