First and foremost, only you can determine the best Big League Chew flavors available today! As for our rankings, they’re based solely on my opinions, so there’s a good chance you won’t agree. However, our goal isn’t to tell you which bubble gum flavor is the best and which one isn’t, but to present you with a list of all flavors so that you can set the record straight according to your own preferences!
With over one billion packs sold as of 2023, Big League Chew is, without a doubt, one of the best bubble gum brands in the world, especially among ball players here in the United States! Generating approximately $20 million in annual revenue and over 1 billion bags sold as of 2023, this brand is clearly winning in terms of brand popularity and recognition. Launched in 1980, the same year that I was born, I’ve been a Big League Chew for all of my life!
That said, I’ve tried every flavor ever made, including retired flavors such as Cherry Cola, Flaming Hot, Sour Cherry, and Sparks, which was another cherry-flavored bubble gum with crunchy candy crystals! Unfortunately, Big League Chew no longer produces cherry bubble gum, but they still release new flavors occasionally, such as tropical and pink lemonade, which are both part of their current lineup.
Speaking of all Big League Chew Bubble Gum flavors, there are currently nine options to choose from, which is an interesting number considering it takes nine players to make a baseball team! Now, I’m not sure if that’s intentional or by coincidence, but I’ll be paying attention the next time they release a new flavor! What do you guys think?

1. Outta Here Original
Introduced in 1980, Outta Here Original is the classic bubble gum that started it all. I’m not sure when I tried it for the first time, but I do remember loving it as a Little League player in the late 1980s. Over 35 years later, I still enjoy its soft, stringy texture and long-lasting taste, making me a lifelong fan of this bubble gum brand and flavor!

2. Ground Ball Grape
Launched in 1980 as part of the original lineup, Ground Ball Grape has an in-your-face, juicy grape taste that’s impossible to resist once you try it. As with all Big League Chew flavors, this one is soft, stringy, and poppin’ with flavor! I first tried it back in the ‘80s sometime, and like Original, I’m still a fan of it to this day!

3. Triple Play Tropical
Released in April 2025, Triple Play Tropical is the newest Big League Chew flavor to hit US markets, just days after MLB Opening Day! I just discovered this new flavor a few weeks before ranking these flavors, and it easily knocked Wild Pitch Watermelon down a position, making it my new third favorite flavor, which has a unique blend of citrus, pineapple, and banana flavors.

4. Wild Pitch Watermelon
Introduced in 1980 as part of the original lineup, Wild Pitch Watermelon boasts a sweet, juicy watermelon flavor that’s hard to resist! I first tried this flavor sometime in the 1980s and have been a fan ever since, even though it’s now my fourth favorite flavor, following the arrival of Triple Play Tropical. Nonetheless, it’s a timeless Big League Chew flavor that never gets old.

5. Slammin’ Strawberry
Slammin’ Strawberry was reintroduced in 2020 after disappearing sometime around 2010; however, I recall it from the early 1990s, and remember when it was discontinued around 2000. In my opinion, I think its on-and-off availability adds to its charm, which seems to come and go by the decade. Needless to say, it’s available now, so get it today before it disappears again!

6. Big Rally Blue Raspberry
Chosen by fans and launched in 2017, Big Rally Blue Raspberry has a sweet-tart, berry-packed taste that easily makes it my sixth favorite Big League Chew flavor! Unfortunately for me, this flavor didn’t come out until I was 37 years old, but it’s never too late to try something new! I tried it as soon as it came out, and now it’s one of my favorite flavors!

7. Punch Out Pink Lemonade
Launched in February 2025, Punch Out Pink Lemonade boasts a slightly sour lemon flavor that I found to be sweet, juicy, and refreshing! Based on my experience and opinion, I’d say it’s the perfect summertime bubble gum flavor! So, if you haven’t tried this one yet, as many people haven’t, I recommend giving it a shot before it’s too late, as new flavors often come and go!

8. Swingin’ Sour Apple
Part of the 1980 original lineup, Swingin’ Sour Apple has a sharp, tangy apple flavor that you either love or you don’t. As for me, I’m somewhere in between, so I like it, but it’s certainly not love! However, I’ve never really been into sour bubble gum, so this one didn’t hit the hardest for me, but you might love it, though! There’s only one way to know for sure!

9. Cureball Cotton Candy
Introduced around 2000, Cureball Cotton Candy is sweet, juicy, and really tastes like cotton candy! Unlike most people in the world, I’m not a huge fan of cotton candy, but if I were, this flavor would rank much higher! However, I haven’t tried it in at least 20 years, so maybe I should give it another shot, as sometimes our taste buds change in life. How would you rank it?

What Is Your Favorite Big League Chew Flavor?
Now that you know every Big League Chew flavor, including my favorites, I’d like to know yours! Of course, you don’t have to share, but it’s still cool learning what others think, especially those who think I’m crazy for ranking cotton candy last. I know that particular flavor has a lot of fans, so I’m sure many people reading this will think my rankings are crazy! So, if that’s you, feel free to let me know in the comments!

Interesting how no cherry flavors are left, despite having had several versions. I wonder if that’s a flavor fatigue issue or just something driven by sales trends.
