Bobs Candies
Founded in 1919 by Robert E. McCormack in Albany, Georgia, Bobs Candies initially operated under the Famous Candy Company. It became a pioneer in the candy industry, being the first to wrap candies in cellophane and later innovating with the Keller Machine, which automated the production of candy canes. During its peak in the 1950s, Bob’s produced millions of candy sticks and canes daily, becoming a staple in American holiday traditions. Known for its iconic Sweet Stripes and Peppermint Candy Canes, the brand was acquired by Farley & Sathers in 2005, which later merged with the Ferrara Candy Company.
