I’m not exactly sure when I first tried Haribo Goldbears, but it was definitely in the last decade after countless commercials reintroduced the gummies to most Americans. However, this world-famous German candy brand, which was founded in 1920, began selling its iconic gummy bears in the United States in 1982, long before they were on my radar. Nowadays, everyone knows about them, as they’re now widely available and sold just about everywhere candy is sold, including here at Candy Retailer, where they’re one of our best-selling candy brands, especially in the gummy category!

Since discovering them, I’ve noticed a huge boom in popularity, which has also occurred in the last decade as more and more people learn about this brand, as I have. This overwhelming awareness has led to a huge demand, resulting in new Haribo flavors and products that extend far beyond just gummy bears! That said, I’ve now tried almost every one, as we’re an official retailer of Haribo and get all new Haribo gummy flavors as soon as they come out. With this experience, I’m now in a position where I can rank my top 10 favorites, which I plan to share with you below!

With this in mind, please note that my rankings reflect my opinions only. My intentions aren’t to say which ones are the best for everyone, but to highlight my favorite flavors with the hopes of you discovering something new! I understand that not everyone will agree, which is cool, so if that’s you, I invite you to share your favorite Haribo gummy flavors in the comments below; perhaps it will lead to me discovering something new! So, without further ado, here are the best Haribo gummies on the market today, according to me.

1. Haribo Goldbears (Original & Sour)

This was the first Haribo gummy I ever tried, and it’s still my absolute favorite. This option includes five classic fruity flavors, including raspberry, orange, pineapple, lemon, and strawberry. In my opinion, these flavors belong together, and the chewy texture is exactly what you want from a gummy. I tried the original version around 2016, and the sour version soon after. Even with all the new flavor releases, I buy these the most.

2. Haribo Goldbears Wild Berry

Goldbears Wild Berry became a permanent flavor in 2024 and features only berry flavors like blueberry, raspberry, wild cherry, strawberry, and wildberry. It has the same chewy, gummy texture as the original Goldbears, but the flavor is sweeter and deeper with no citrus flavors in the mix. I tried this one the same year it launched, and it’s now my second-favorite Haribo flavor after the original mix. I love berry-flavored candy, especially gummies, so this was an easy pick.

3. Haribo Berries

Haribo Berries have been around for a long time. I’m not sure when they came out, but I first tried them in 2018 after I started exploring more flavors. This one includes raspberry and blackberry flavors, but differs from traditional Haribo flavors and texture, as it features a crunchy outer layer similar to Nerds Gummy Clusters. If you’ve never tried these and love berry-flavored gummies as much as I do, I highly recommend giving them a try today!

4. Haribo Berry Clouds

Berry Clouds launched in 2022, and I tried them as soon as they hit our shelves here at Candy Retailer. They’re much softer than most Haribo gummies, with a light, fluffy, airy texture that’s closer to a marshmallow than traditional gummies. As you can see by now, I have a natural lovejones for berry candy, and this one is no exception, which includes blueberry, strawberry, and wildberry flavors. I can easily smash an entire bag in minutes; how about you?

5. Haribo Peaches

Again, I’m not sure when Haribo Peaches were introduced, but I discovered them around 2017, and they’ve been a regular choice ever since then. These peach-shaped gummies are coated with a light layer of sugar, giving them a slight crunch before you reach the chewy, gummy center. The peach flavor is sweet, juicy, and more realistic-tasting than many other peach candies. Like the previous flavor, these too don’t last long, especially in my hands!

6. Haribo Watermelon

I first tried Haribo Watermelon gummies as soon as they came out in 2019, and they quickly earned a spot in my top ten. The flavor is unmistakably watermelon, just as you’d expect it to be, plus they’re sweet, soft, chewy, and juicy. I’ve tried so many watermelon-flavored candies and gummies over the year, some hit the mark, some don’t, but it’s a bullseye when it comes to this one; Haribo nailed it. Pick up a bag and see for yourself; you won’t be disappointed.

7. Haribo Smurfs (Original & Sour)

If my memory serves me correctly, I first tried Haribo Smurfs around 2017, mostly out of curiosity, and they ended up surprising me. The original version features a fruity blend of flavors, including lemon, strawberry, pineapple, orange, and raspberry, but the sour version is my favorite of the two. They’re tangy, chewy, and packed with flavor. Like most Haribo gummies, I can easily knock off an entire bag of these in one go, so yeah, they’re that good.

8. Haribo Zing Sour Streamers

Haribo Zing Sour Streamers first hit our shelves here at Candy Retailer in 2019 and have since become a bestseller. This candy includes flavors such as sour orange, apple, blue raspberry, and cherry. Unlike most Haribo candy, these gummies come in strips instead of shapes, but the only difference is appearance, as the taste and texture are clearly Haribo. If you’ve never tried these before, I highly recommend them, especially if you love sour, fruity candy!

9. Haribo Starmix

I tried Starmix not long after getting into Haribo, although they came out several years before then. This option offers a mix of flavors and shapes, including rings, cola bottles, bears, twin snakes, and cherries. In other words, it’s a mix of Haribo’s most sought-after flavors, like cola and cherries, which I prefer in a mix rather than standalone. At first, I thought this option was a flavor collision that might not pair well, but all it took was one try to be convinced otherwise.

10. Haribo Ginger Lemon

I honestly can’t recall when Haribo Ginger Lemon was introduced in the US, but I tried it sometime around 2020 and haven’t looked back since then. This ranking was a hard one, as there are more Haribo flavors that I really like, like Haribo Happy Cherries, but when it came down to push and shove, Ginger Lemon stole the show! This candy has a sharp, fresh, warm ginger flavor that is unlike any other Haribo flavor, which is why I ranked them my 10th favorite.
