When it comes to seasonal candy, especially fall and winter, I think it’s safe to say that no other brand does it bigger or better than Brach’s! Now part of the Ferrara Candy Company, Brach’s owns these categories, offering the best candy flavors and types, including Harvest Corn, Holiday Peppermint Nougats, Mini Candy Canes, Crushed Candy Cane, Mellocreme Pumpkins, Holiday Swirled Gumdrops, and much more!
At the time of this posting, it’s mid-October, so most candy brands, especially Brach’s, are dropping new products and flavors, so I expect much more in the days and weeks ahead from this brand. With that in mind, I recommend following our candy news section, where we announce new daily products arriving here at Candy Retailer! So, whenever a new Brach’s holiday or seasonal item is announced or released, you’ll be the first to know about it.
As for the rankings below, they’re solely based on my personal preferences and opinions, so there’s a good chance that we won’t agree! However, candy is an opinionated matter, so I don’t expect everyone to agree; in fact, it would be sort of strange if one were to agree with all my rankings exactly, that would just be weird. Brach’s Harvest Candy Corn sets the bar for all that follows, taking the classic candy corn flavor and adding extra depth and flavor, making it sweeter and more flavorful than most candy corn. The colors are beautiful, featuring deep oranges, yellows, and browns, capturing the feeling of the harvest season. Compared to others, these are creamy, soft, and have that sweet, buttery vanilla taste that defines Brach’s quality candy.
2. Brach’s Candy Corn
While the Harvest blend is my favorite, Brach’s original Candy Corn is also a timeless classic that started it all and is just as good. This is the traditional tri-colored candy that everyone expects in a candy bowl during Halloween, which features a smooth, soft texture that holds its shape but is easy to chew. Brach’s makes the most consistent version of this candy, delivering the same recognizable mellow cream flavor every single time. It’s a sweet icon!
3. Brach’s Mellocreme Pumpkins
Brach’s Mellocreme Pumpkins are simple, cute, and delicious. These candies take the iconic mellow creme flavor and shape it into a perfectly bite-sized pumpkin, which is slightly thicker than the regular corn, giving you more than traditional candy corn. Unfortunately, these are only around during the Halloween season, but after a month of them, I’m ready to switch it up, and just like that, I will be ready for them again next October!
4. Brach’s Mellowcreme Autumn Mix
If you want variety and all the best fall flavors in one bag, Brach’s Mellowcreme Autumn Mix is the way to go. This unique, seasonal mix combines candy corn, harvest corn, and mellowcreme pumpkins, allowing you to enjoy all three together. It’s perfect for sharing, or for when you just can’t decide which specific mellow creme shape you want to chew on. This mix is a great sampler of the season’s best candies, which is why it’s my 4th favorite!
5. Brach’s Mellowcreme Caramel Apples
When Brach’s gets creative, they usually hit a home run, and the Mellowcreme Caramel Apples are proof of that. These mellowcreme candies are shaped and taste like apples, and are soft, creamy, and feature a caramel apple flavor that makes these one of my favorite seasonal candies that only Brach’s can make! The truth is, this isn’t an easy candy flavor to make, but if there’s one brand that can do it, it’s Brach’s by Ferrara Candy Company!
6. Brach’s Holiday Peppermint Nougats
Moving into the winter holiday season, Brach’s Holiday Peppermint Nougats are a must-have Christmas candy in my house! If you know, you know. If you don’t, these soft, chewy candies feature a sweet nougat base loaded with crunchy bits of real peppermint candy, creating a cool, refreshing flavor unlike all other holiday candies. They are an old-school classic that never gets old. I’ve been eating these every December all my life, and I always will.
7. Brach’s Cinnamon Imperials
Brach’s Cinnamon Imperials are a candy fireball of flavors to spice up your day! Indeed, these hard candies pack a bold, authentic cinnamon spice that warms you up on a cold day, making them perfect for sucking on when you need a little fire, for baking, or with a glass of hot chocolate. 8. Brach’s Holiday Spicettes
If you’re a fan of those iconic red and green, sanded gumdrops, you know the ones, then chances are, you’re a fan of Brach’s Holiday Spicettes! These chewy jellies come in cinnamon and wintergreen flavors, which offer a cool yet spicy flavor that’s just as warming as they are refreshing! I’m not sure about you, but I grew up with these and could always count on my grandmother to have a full dish on display every year at about this time! I sure do miss her.

Brach’s Soft Peppermint Candy is a simple, classic mine that always saves the day! These melt-in-your-mouth mints are sweet, cool, and refreshing. They aren’t chewy or hard, but dissolve slowly, releasing a bright peppermint flavor that tastes, smells, and feels great after a big holiday dinner. I always keep a dish of these out during Christmas; not because I love them and eat them every day, but so does everyone else, and no brand makes them better!
10. Brach’s Swirly Twirly Gum Drops
Rounding out the top 10 are the Brach’s Swirly Twirly Gum Drops, inspired by the holiday movie Elf. These colorful red, green, and white gumdrops represent the season with three festive flavors, including Merry Cherry, Icy Blue Raspberry, and Sweet Sugarplum.
