First and foremost, it’s an honor to be able to rank all my favorite Cheez-It flavors here on Candy Retailer; I’m a life-long fan, and I like them all, including Original, Puff’d, Snap’d, Grooves, Duoz, and Snack Mixes! I also try out all new releases, as well as limited-edition flavors like Cheez-It Wendy’s Baconator flavor that came out a few months ago. I actually liked those, but according to most reviews, most people didn’t. So, there’s a good chance we won’t see eye-to-eye on all my rankings below. However, these are indeed my favorite flavors, hate it or love it.
That said, my goal isn’t to tell you which flavors are the best, or even worse, which ones not to try because I didn’t like them, as I want you to try them all, and have your own rankings! My content focuses on discovery and tasting new flavors. We can even debate it if you’d like, too, but ultimately, we like what we like, and that’s a fact we agree to disagree on! I’ve been eating Cheez-It crackers for over 40 years, but that doesn’t prove anything except to me, leaving only room for you to try something new! Don’t worry about the order of my rankings because you never know, my least favorite might be your new #1, but there’s only one way to know for sure!
1. Cheez-It Original
When it comes to the one, the only, and the original, these rankings wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for Cheez-It Original crackers! Everything about this flavor makes it the real deal; it’s even made with real cheese, but so are all the others. However, this is the first flavor, the one that inspired them all. From past generations until today, Original Cheez-Its are an American favorite, loved and enjoyed by millions, including me! How about you?
2. Cheez-It White Cheddar
Cheez-It White Cheddar crackers are cheesy, crunchy, and made with 100% real cheddar cheese. Not to mention, this is the 2nd best-selling Cheez-It flavor after Original, and I can’t even debate those facts because it’s my second-favorite flavor as well. As the underboss of all flavors, White Cheddar Cheez-Its are a must-have for me, at least a few times a week! If you agree, then you already know, one handful is never enough! Who can testify?
3. Cheez-It Smoked Cheddar
If you enjoy a deeper, richer cheese flavor, Cheez-It Smoked Cheddar crackers are a must-try; I highly recommend them. Made with real cheese and with just the right amount of smoky flavor, every bite is equally bold, crisp, and enjoyable. Like most people, I love smoked cheddar cheese, but as a flavor, it’s hit or miss-and usually a miss! This is not an easy flavor to pull off, but if there’s one cracker brand that can do it, it’s Cheez-its. Mission complete.
4. Cheez-It Extra Crunchy Bold Cheddar
If you’re a fan of intense cheddar flavor with an extra crunch, then I recommend you try my 4th favorite Cheez-It flavor, Extra Crunchy Bold Cheddar; you won’t be disappointed. Baked to perfection and made with 100% real cheese, this flavor offers everything you love about Cheez-It cheddar crackers, only crunchier and, of course, cheesier! If there’s one thing I can say for sure, it’s that no other cracker brand knows cheddar better than Cheez-It. Facts.
5. Cheez-It Grooves Sharp White Cheddar
Rounding out my top 5, it’s an easy win for Cheez-It Sharp White Cheddar Grooves, which I highly recommend you try if you haven’t already! Made with real cheese, as expected, these delicious crackers offer a sharp white cheddar cheesy flavor, along with a crispy, wavy, crunchy texture, making them one of my all-time favorite Cheez-It flavors! Speaking of, I can easily smash an entire box on my own, in one day! So be warned, they’re highly addictive.
6. Cheez-It Extra Cheesy
Made with 100% real, aged cheese, as the case with all flavors, Cheez-It Extra Cheesy crackers are exactly that, Extra Cheesy! Baked to perfection and loaded with extra cheddar cheese, these crackers are among every Cheez-It fan’s top 10 list. Although I can’t say that with 100%; nevertheless, I’m willing to bet my last box of Cheez-Its that it is! If you agree, or even disagree, I invite you to sound off in the comments below! 7. Cheez-It Snap’d Sharp White Cheddar
Cheez-It Snap’d Crackers are thin, crunchy, and loaded with real flavor! In the case of my 7th favorite flavor, it easily goes to Sharp White Cheddar. Baked to crisp perfection, they’re cheesy, and always satisfying. If you love white cheddar snacks, especially crackers, this flavor deserves a permanent spot in your snack lineup. However, it’s the extra crunchy texture that fans really love the most about Cheez-It Snap’d crackers! Do you agree?
8. Cheez-It Extra Toasty
Made with 100% real cheese, Extra Toasty is, without a doubt, my 8th favorite Cheez-It flavor. However, did you know that this unique flavor was from inspired Cheez-It fans? That’s right; Cheez-It-lovers overwhelmingly requested extra toasty, and so, that’s exactly what they got. On a personal note, I wasn’t asked, but if I was, I would’ve said, heck yeah! So, to all those who demanded this flavor, I take this moment to salute you! Good call.
9. Cheez-It Cheddar Jack
Cheddar Jack is one of the best-selling Cheez-It flavors ever produced by this brand. Made with 100% real Cheddar and marbled Monterey Jack cheese, these crackers pair with almost all cold-cut sandwiches, especially subs! I also think pairing as a side to a hot bowl of tomato soup is another win for these crackers! Based on my experience, they’re served a little on the toasty side, so keep that in mind before you buy and try.
10. Cheez-It Duoz Cheddar Jack and Baby Swiss
Cheddar Jack and Baby Swiss Cheez-It Duoz are, without debate, one of our best duo-flavored crackers available from this brand, and the only one on my top 10 list, but I promise, it doesn’t end here! Unfortunately, these aren’t always easy to find, and when they are, they often sell out quickly. If you love them as much as I do, consider stocking up! However, you can usually always find them available here at Candy Retailer! Don’t worry, I’ll save you some!
11. Cheez-It Duoz Sharp Cheddar and Parmesan
As most would agree, two is always better than one, we couldn’t agree more, especially when it comes to Cheez-It Sharp Cheddar and Parmesan Duoz! Made with 100% real cheeses, you’ll quickly discover that you just found what you’ve been missing all along! Similar to the previous Douz flavor, these are also hard to find, but once discovered, they sell quickly. On a positive note, though, you can usually always find them available at Candy Retailer!
12. Cheez-It Pepper Jack
Baked with a whole lot of flavor and love, Cheez-It Pepper Jack crackers aren’t for the mild-mannered, but for those who appreciate fresh, crunchy crackers made with your favorite cheese! In my opinion, these are perfect for lunch or a late-night snack, and they’re a real win for those who love cheesy pepper jack-flavored snacks! This is another flavor that many brands can master, but somehow, someway, Cheez-It proved to be the one that could.
13. Cheez-It Snap’d Cheddar Sour Cream and Onion
Back to Cheez-It Snap’d crackers, I have to give this flavor ranking to Cheddar Sour Cream & Onion! As one would expect, these deliver a sharp cheddar flavor that’s balanced with a tangy sour cream and onion seasoning. They’re light, thin, crunchy, and hard to put down, making them a total hit for me! Honestly, I often forget about these when it’s time to stock up, but now that I think about it, I haven’t had these in over a year, so I think it’s time to change that.
14. Cheez-It Snap’d Double Cheese
Back to Back, I have to give it up to Cheez-It Snap’d Double Cheese crackers, which offer double the cheesy cheddar cheese flavor that you and I love so much! Baked thin for an extra crispy texture and made with real cheese, this flavor is super cheesy and satisfying, just as you can imagine they would be. Great for sharing or keeping all to yourself. Either way, these crispy cracker-like snacks are enjoyable until the last bite. After that, the rest is history!
15. Cheez-It Snack Mix Double Cheese
When one kind of cheese isn’t enough, Cheez-It Snack Mix Double Cheese steps in. This mix includes Cheez-It Original crackers (cheddar & white cheddar), salty pretzels, toasted bread slices, and crispy cheese curls! In my opinion, these make for a great late-night movie snack or a quick lunch snack, whether paired with a sandwich or not; either way, they don’t disappoint. I rarely have them, but when I do, I can smash an entire box, so yeah, they’re that good.
16. Cheez-It Snack Mix Original
Similar to the previously ranking, Cheez-It Original Snack Mix is where textures and flavors meet in the middle to create a single snack experience. This perfectly seasoned mix includes Cheez-It crackers, pretzels, toasted bread slices, and cheesy rice balls. It’s the ideal snack for anyone who loves a mix of textures and Cheez-It’s signature taste, which includes me, and one of the main reasons why I ranked this snack mix as one of my all-time favorites!
17. Cheez-It Puff’d Double Cheese
Light, airy, and packed with double the cheese, Cheez-It Puff’d Double Cheese crackers are a flavor-packed snack that I like. These puffed-up snacks are baked with real cheese, giving you that signature cheesy taste in a puffed texture. Perfect for any occasion, once you open a bag, it’s hard to stop. I’m not a huge fan of the texture, although many are; however, in terms of flavor, these are just as good as any other Cheez-It flavor on my list of rankings!
18. Cheez-It Puff’d White Cheddar
Cheez-It Puff’d White Cheddar crackers prove that light and fluffy can still mean big flavor. Made with real white cheddar cheese and baked until perfectly crisp, these bite-sized puffs offer a creamy, cheesy taste that instantly melts in your mouth. As I mentioned before, I’m not a huge fan of puffed snacks, even though most disagree, but what I think we can agree on is flavor! Speaking of, these taste just as good as all Cheez-It White Cheddar snacks!
19. Cheez-It Duoz Bacon Cheddar
Bacon Cheddar Cheez-It Duoz is perhaps one of the most iconic duo flavors available! In fact, some even go as far as to say that “it’s a match made in heaven!” But then again, bacon & cheddar naturally go together! Made with 100% real cheese, you’ll definitely love this flavor combo, especially if you’re a cheesy bacon-lover! Although they’re ranked at #19, don’t be misled, I love this flavor, just not every day, but you could be another story!
20. Cheez-It Grooves Zesty Cheddar Ranch
Another awesome Cheez-It Grooves flavor is Zesty Cheddar Ranch! This is a flavor that’s not for everyone, but it’s still a preferred flavor loved by thousands, if not millions! So if you’ve been looking for crispy, cheesy, zesty crackers that are deep in flavor and crunch, then this Cheez-It flavor might be the one for you! 21. Cheez-It Hot and Spicy
Last up, and the toughest call to make, I must give up for Cheez-It Hot & Spicy crackers! Not only are they packed with real heat, but they’re also made with 100% real cheese as well. So if you love spicy snacks, then this Cheez-It flavor was made with you in mind. Now, I’m not a huge fan of spicy crackers, chips, yes, but I ranked these because the flavor is all there, so they deserve to be listed.
