I’m not quite sure when I first tried Colombina Candy, but it was definitely long before I ever knew the brand name! How can that be, you might wonder? Well, it’s simple, I was a kid the first time I had it, back when brand names didn’t mean much, but also, Colombina is famous for making candy dish candies such as Starlight Mints, Fruit Buttons, Jumbo Mint Balls, Butterscotch, Cinnamon Discs, Fruit Chews, Tiger Pops, and several others.
Nowadays, Colombina is a much bigger candy company and brand, with seven high-tech production plants in Colombia, Guatemala, and Spain! However, the US is the brand’s biggest market, although most people are more familiar with the candies they produce than the brand name itself. But now that I’m deep inside the candy culture, I’ve learned who is who, and Colombina is one of the biggest candy brands in the world, whether you know the name or not.
