Brach’s Set to Debut at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade with Enchanting Palace of Sweets Float
In an exciting first, Brach’s is joining the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with its Palace of Sweets float. This November 23, the streets of New York City will be graced by a 30-foot gingerbread house float trimmed with candy canes, embodying the festive spirit of Brach’s.
For nearly 120 years, Brach’s has been a staple in creating holiday memories with its beloved seasonal candies. Their inaugural parade float, honoring the legacy of their first candy store, which opened in 1904, is a fitting addition to a holiday event steeped in tradition like the Macy’s Parade.
The ‘Palace of Sweets’ will feature a vivid, rotating candy Christmas tree and a three-story gingerbread house. A fascinating aspect of the float is its largest candy cane, which is 9,720 times larger than a typical Brach’s Candy Cane.
Katie Duffy, Vice President and General Manager at Brach’s, highlights the brand’s commitment to enhancing family celebrations, which aligns perfectly with the parade’s ethos. Jordan Dabby, producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, expresses delight in welcoming Brach’s to the parade, noting the joy it will bring to spectators.
As America’s top seasonal sugar candy brand, Brach’s will have its famous candies like Candy Canes, Conversation Hearts, Jelly Beans, and Candy Corn artistically displayed on the float.
These candies are crafted by Macy’s Studio artisans using unique textures and colors, complete with metallic paints and glitter for an authentic Brach’s feel. Parade-goers will also see performers in costumes inspired by Brach’s packaging characters.
In addition to enjoying the parade, Brach’s encourages everyone to share their holiday moments with their candies on social media. The parade will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
Finally, don’t miss exploring our vast and continually growing selection of Brach’s candies, perfect for every festive occasion.
