Mars Pumps $2 Billion Into US Candy Market as New Expansion Begins

Mars is one of the biggest candy makers in the world, and they’ve just announced a new $2 billion investment in its US manufacturing operations through 2026. This expansion includes a major new facility for Nature’s Bakery in Salt Lake City, Utah. The new site opens this week and will produce up to one billion bars annually. The move strengthens the brand’s footprint in the United States, where 94% of its products are already made locally.

The new Utah facility alone is expected to create more than 230 new jobs and further boost production capacity for both sweet and snack categories.
